These terms explain how you can use Wisp Chat. By using our website, apps, or services (the service), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Wisp Chat.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

Wisp Chat is run by the Wisp Chat team. Email support@wisp.chat if you have questions. We will add our registered company details after incorporation.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to use Wisp Chat. Where the law requires age checks, we may verify your age.

3. Your account

You are responsible for your account and anything that happens under it. Keep your password safe and tell us quickly if you think your account has been accessed without permission. If you use a social login, you allow us to receive basic account details from that provider.

4. What Wisp Chat offers

Today Wisp Chat offers text chat. Later we may add voice or video. Features may change as we improve the product. We do not promise any specific result from matches or conversations.

5. Rules

To keep Wisp Chat safe, do not:

  • harass, threaten, or promote hate or violence

  • share illegal, harmful, or non‑consensual content

  • break the law or infringe someone’s rights

  • spam, scam, or ask for sensitive information

  • record or share another person’s content without consent if consent is required

  • probe, bypass, or overload our systems, or use bots and scrapers except where allowed by law

  • distribute malware or try to disrupt the service

  • sell or transfer your account, or try to evade a suspension

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you send. You give Wisp Chat a license to host, store, transmit, display, and process your content so we can run and improve the service and keep it safe. You also give us permission to use feedback you share with us.

7. Safety and moderation

We use automated systems to find abuse such as spam or exploitation. When something is flagged by our systems or by user reports, reviewers may check the relevant messages. If we add voice or video, related signals may be processed in real time. When needed for safety or disputes and where allowed by law, we may keep short excerpts, thumbnails, or metadata for a limited time.

8. Third‑party links and services

The service may link to other websites or services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or policies.

9. Real‑time connectivity

If we enable voice or video, technologies such as WebRTC may create direct connections between participants. This can reveal each participant’s IP address to the other side. This is how the technology works.

10. Plans, billing, and taxes

We plan two plans: Free and Pro. Payments are handled by Paddle as our Merchant of Record. By buying a plan you also accept Paddle’s buyer terms. Prices and features may change. Taxes are calculated at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your account or using the link in your Paddle receipt.

11. Refunds and cancellations

See our Refund Policy for details. When a refund is approved, Paddle sends it to your original payment method.

12. Communications

We may email you about your account, security, or product updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. We will still send essential emails.

13. Intellectual property

The software, design, and brand are owned by us or our licensors. Do not copy, modify, or reverse engineer the service.

14. Disclaimers

The service is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or error‑free or that user identities or content are accurate.

15. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, Wisp Chat will not be liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or use. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to Wisp Chat in the 12 months before the claim.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold Wisp Chat harmless from claims and costs that arise from your use of the service or your breach of these terms.

17. Ending or suspending service

You can stop using Wisp Chat at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or create risk for users or the platform. Sections that should continue after termination will remain in effect.

We may change these terms. We will update the date down below and, if the change is important, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
